Colorado Association of School Executives Names Interim Executive Director
The Colorado Association of School Executives (CASE) is pleased to announce that Dr. Robert D. Tschirki, retired superintendent from both the Littleton and Cherry Creek school districts, will serve as interim executive director of CASE, beginning July 1. Tschirki has long been affiliated with CASE and served in various leadership positions in the association. He was Colorado Superintendent of the Year in 1989.
Tschirki will serve as interim director for a full year, allowing CASE to engage in a thorough and timely process for the selection of a new executive director. CASE President Tim Westerberg said the association welcomes Tschirki’s return to active participation. “Bob's integrity, knowledge of the education landscape in Colorado, and proven leadership skills will ensure that CASE continues to be a key player in informing state-level education policy decisions,” said Westerberg.
In addition to his considerable experience in Colorado K-12 education, Bob served briefly as deputy director of the American Association of School Administrators (AASA). Bob is recognized locally and nationally as a “leader among leaders.”
Tschirki replaces Peg Portscheller, former executive director, who left CASE last month to pursue other employment.
Established in 1969, the Colorado Association of School Executives (CASE) is an organization of more than 2,000 school administrators committed to improving achievement through promoting and building quality educational leadership in all Colorado schools.
