DOUGLAS COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT - MAMMOTH HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY - PRINCIPAL POSITION AVAILABLE
Elementary Principals in Douglas County School District (DCSD) assume the responsibilities of building leadership; including but not limited to: student achievement related to curriculum, instruction and assessment programs, supervision of staff, students and all school programs, financial planning and goals. Principals assume responsibilities for student safety, staff professional development and evaluation, student support and discipline, and parent and community relations.
Requirements: Colorado Principals License or eligible for licensing in the state, previous school/administrative experience is required (3 or more years preferred). Desire to make a commitment to Douglas County School District RE-1 Elementary Students and programs.

Critical Attributes: The Principal at Mammoth Heights forms collaborative relationships with all stakeholders. The Principal at Mammoth Heights will have a solid understanding of the developmental needs and learning styles of all students and is committed to providing students a rigorous and relevant liberal arts education. The principal will inspire and motivate staff and students to perform to their potential and provide opportunities for continuous quality improvement. The principal is committed to helping schools define and expand choice opportunities for learning. The principal will lead within a world class education system utilizing system performance measures to promote collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity. At Mammoth Heights, the principal must understand and be able to adapt and manage change; including the ability to demonstrate leadership in the midst of managing daily activities. The principal will know, understand and advocate for their school, community and the Douglas County School District as a whole. Above all else, the Mammoth Heights principal will put student needs first. The principal will use the Douglas County School District Strategic Plan to make decisions and provide instructional leadership for all students. At Mammoth Heights Elementary, the principal will be able to successfully manage a large school understanding of Emergenetics and of the Life Skills taught to all students. The principal of Mammoth Heights will hold all stakeholders accountable for the progress of each individual child in all areas, and will utilize support staff in supporting student learning.
