Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) is one of the cornerstones of the federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act. In Colorado, it is a measure of year-to-year student achievement on the Colorado Student Assessment Program (CSAP). It represents the annual academic performance targets in reading and math that the state, school districts, and schools much reach to be considered on track for 100 percent proficiency by school year 2013-14.
