Update to CASE membership dues structure approved starting 2014-2015

Survey responses and feedback solicited over the past 18 months by the CASE Membership Committee (comprised of CASE members) have resulted in the following findings:

  • dues structure and dues amount have not changed in over 8 years;
  • the current ten-tier structure is overly complex;
  • dues structure does not align with current administrative salary tiers; and,
  • dues amount is too expensive for administrators early in their careers.

The Coordinating Council voted to streamline and update the dues structure beginning in the 2014-15 CASE membership year, which begins September 1, 2014. Nearly 70% of CASE members will pay the same or less than they currently do for membership dues next year. Continuing to attract new members is critical to ensuring the ongoing strength and vitality of our association and this change will help administrators who are early in their careers afford to join CASE. For those members whose dues will increase for the 2014-15 year, the increase is between $20 and $70 on an annual basis. CASE will continue the options of either paying dues in full or in monthly installments. However, instead of twelve monthly installments, CASE will now move to 10 monthly installments between September and June.
