The Project Vote Smart website, http://votesmart.org/, contains contact information and voting history for your elected officials.
If you already know the name of your legislator, type the name in the search box at the top of the page and select the applicable name that appears from the menu (similar names may appear in the drop down menu).
If you need to find the legislator for your district, enter your nine-digit ZIP code (ZIP +4), e.g., 80110-4606. If you don’t know the ZIP +4 code, you may find it at https://tools.usps.com/go/ZipLookupAction!input.action by entering the address and five-digit ZIP code.
After you enter the nine-digit ZIP code, a drop down menu will appear with the names and photos of your elected representatives, starting with federal officials. Scroll down until you locate your State House representative. You will also see the names and photos of challengers to the position in an election year.
Select the applicable name of your state representative. You can find out more information about your representative by clicking on the folder icons below the search box, i.e., Bio, Votes, Positions, Ratings, Speeches, and Funding. To find your representative’s position on Education, click on "Positions" and scroll down the page to “Education” under the Issue Positions heading. If the representative completed Project Vote Smart's Political Courage Test, the responses will be included on the page.
Detailed contact information is available on the Vote Smart Bio page. Here you will find their Capitol Website address, District Webmail, District Website addresses, Capitol address, and the representative’s District mailing address and phone number.
