CoSN Delegation to India includes strong CALET presence

Posted By Susan Meek, Sunday, November 8, 2015

CALET (Colorado Association of Leaders in Educational Technology), a department of CASE, has several members attending the upcoming India Delegation hosted by its national affiliate CoSN, the Consortium for School Networking. CoSN is committed to a global dialogue focused on the strategic uses of technology for the improvement of teaching and learning in elementary and secondary schools and regularly conducts international delegations to explore programs and practices surrounding the uses of education technology.

The delegation leaves on November 12 and will include a week of intensive meetings with international experts, policymakers, educators and business executives in Delhi, Bengaluru (Bangalore), Kuppam and Chennai. Visits to public and private schools, as well as informal learning spaces, will play a prominent role throughout the trip.

CALET membership on this delegation includes Denise Atkinson-Shorey (CALET Emeritus member and President/CEO of e-Luminosity), Andrew Moore (CIO of Boulder Valley School District), Vijay Patel (Webmaster, Boulder Valley School District), and Susan Meek (CASE Director of Strategic Engagement and Communications). CoSN CEO Keith Kreuger and CoSN Chief Strategy Officer Irene Spero are organizing the education delegation and agenda for all attendees.

CALET’s participation in this international education delegation will benefit the larger CASE membership as it shares its findings and builds connections with other education leaders. There is great value in investigating and learning from other educators. Just as Colorado education leaders benefit by connecting and learning from other education leaders across the state, our members benefit from our partnerships with our national associations. These connections to others across the US and the globe offer a unique learning opportunity for CALET and CASE.

Follow along and engage with the #CALETinIndia delegation members. Ask questions and weigh in on this blog. Share the journey! Join us as we explore, learn and share best practices with our global education community!
