Join the Colorado Association of School Personnel Administrators in a two-day training. Understand the differences between coaching and managing, as well as develop your individual potential. The workshop will focus on the following topics:

  •  Effective leadership through understanding
  •  When to wear the “Coach’s Cap” versus “Manager Hat”
  •  Coaching versus directing
  •  Understanding and adapting to different personality styles
  •  Exploration of actions in relation to intent versus impact
  •  How to engage in activities using effective coaching strategies through role play

Training fee: $100 per person. Fee includes the two-day training, plus breakfast and lunch for both days. 

Schedule: Each training day runs from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm and includes breakfast and lunch. 

*Attendees must be sponsored/registered by CASPA members. Registration is only open to CASPA-member districts. 


Tacy Killingsworth has been in education for over twenty years and has served in a variety of capacities, including early childhood special education teacher and director, elementary classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, director of instruction, director of elementary education and college instructor. Tacy currently teaches classes in the Leadership, Research and Foundations Department at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and is a consultant in the field of education.

Tacy’s consultant work consists of mentoring and coaching building and district leaders in a variety of areas.  This includes supporting leaders in setting vision/mission with a viable action plan that defines strategies and processes, improving climate and culture to promote success, unpacking standards and aligning curriculum, using data to drive instruction and developing and implementing a differentiated professional development model to meet teacher needs within a school. 

Tacy holds a master’s degree in early childhood special education from the University of Arizona and a degree in administrative leadership from the University of Colorado at Denver.126 Riverfront Lane
