The CASE Legislative Committee comprises two representatives from each of CASE’s seven departments, as well as the CASE Executive Committee (President, President-elect, and Past President). The Legislative Committee meetings are open to all active members.

The CASE staff appreciates the insight, guidance and input provided by all department officers and board members. In addition to two official members who are appointed by their boards to serve on the committee, these meetings are open to all active CASE members. We are especially grateful for those members who agree to take additional time out of their already busy schedules to participate on CASE’s special committees and advisory groups. It is critical to have balanced representation on the Committee as we take positions on key bills impacting K-12 education across Colorado.

During the session you can view CASE Positions on bills with the Bill Tracker.

The meetings are run by the CASE Legislative Committee Co-Chairs Bruce Messinger and Randy Miller with assistance from CASE Lobbyist Elisabeth Rosen and CASE Executive Director Bruce Caughey.

If you are unable to attend legislative meetings, we do provide a toll-free, call-in number that you are welcome to use. For instructions to call in, contact Barb at balbright@co-case.org. For any other questions or if you need additional information about the Legislative Committee, please contact Bruce Caughey at bcaughey@co-case.org
