3. RURAL EDUCATION SUMMIT: POWER OF INFLUENCE

When: July 23, 2019, 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Who Should Come:
Rural education leaders
Join us at the 2019 Rural Education Summit to kick off the CASE Convention, Leadership Elevated, in beautiful Breckenridge. "Leadership" is too often used incorrectly as a synonym for "Authority." Former Denver Bronco Reggie Rivers takes us inside the NFL locker room and onto the football field to reveal lessons that show that leadership is much more about influence and relationship-building than it is about authority. Participants in this workshop will engage in structured dialogue regarding their own power of influence for strategic leadership, building capacity, organizational culture, and engaging stakeholders. Examples of rural partnerships between educator preparation programs and rural school districts supported through Plan-Into-Action grant projects will be showcased, providing opportunities for extended dialogue and expanded influence.
