CASE Member Day at the Capitol

Join us to have your voice heard!

 

Member Day at the Capitol will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. We would love to have you join us! All members are invited to bring a guest; please include their information in your registration. If you have never been involved in CASE's advocacy work, we will provide all the information you will need to feel up to date and comfortable at this event. This is complimentary to our members and lunch will be provided, so please join us! 

 
 


 

 
 
When - Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Start time of 9:00 a.m.

Where - Knights of Columbus: 1555 Grant Street, Denver, 80203. 

While the event is at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver, we'll meet beforehand at the Knights of Columbus Hall that's within just a couple of minutes of walking distance of the Capitol.

 

Parking - Limited parking spots will be available at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Additional parking can be found nearby on the street or in parking garages. 

 

Who - All members and one guest of their choosing are invited. Staff members from CASE will be on site guiding the event. 

 

Costs  - This is a complimentary event for our members and their guest of choice. Lunch will be provided.

8:15 a.m. — Park and meet at Knights of Columbus Hall
8:30 a.m. — Welcome and overview of agenda, including talking points and materials to share with legislators
8:45 a.m. — Walk to Capitol
9:00 a.m. — Observe House and Senate floor work from galleries. Legislators will recognize CASE Member Day at the Capitol.
9:30 a.m. — Committee work
10:30 a.m. — Walk to Knights of Columbus Hall
11:00 a.m. — Budget update from Office of State Planning and Budgeting Director Mark Ferrandino
11:30 a.m. — Update from Governor Polis’ office
12:00 p.m. — Lunch and visit with legislators
1:30 p.m. — Individual appointments with legislators

Training - Never advocated at the Capitol before? No problem! Before heading to the Capitol, we will have a workshop to be sure you are prepared and all your questions are answered. 

 

Clear Talking Points - Every attendee will be given a set of talking points that you choose based on your area of greatest interest or concern. You won't have to wonder what to say, because we'll provide the information you need.

 

Hear from State Leadership - You will be hearing from leaders in the Capitol about their priorities for this year. 

 

Individual Appointments - Time will be available for you to schedule individual appointments with legislators, and legislators will also be invited to join us for lunch for more conversation.
